Snowfall

Denver has had its first measurable snowfall.

Last week, I was hit by flying ice crystals – but they melted before they hit the ground. Yesterday morning, the snow was heavy enough and the temperatures were low enough to accumulate.

Lakewood Receives its first measurable snowfall for the season.

Of course, they have been making snow for the past couple weeks up at the Ski Areas – All racing to be the first to be open for the season. The storm was fast-running, and is gone already, but it still dumped a LOT of moisture here in Lakewood. When I emptied the rain gauge this morning there was nearly an inch of water in it. I hope that this does not mean that we’re going to have a rough winter!

Wherever you are, I hope that the weather you’re having is excellent!
